Love Ponies (or Donkeys!)

Sponsor Your Own Pukka Pony!

Pukka Ponies cares for around 30 horses and ponies at any one time, of all shapes and sizes different ages, breeds and types. Not all of these are ready to move onto new homes straight away, sometimes it takes months or even years for these ponies to be ready for rehome. Sometimes they have medical issues or behavioural problems that mean they cannot be rehomed. We never rush ponies into homes and always take things at the ponies pace. These 6 gorgeous ponies (and a Donkey!) are all available for sponsorship. Sponsoring will mean you receive special gifts, letters and even party invites from your chosen pony. We appreciate all amounts, every penny helps, and all the money goes to help all the horses and ponies at Pukka Ponies, many of which have extensive vet bills for vital care. Those who sponsor the higher weekly or monthy amount get extra gifts!!! So what are you waiting for? The hardest part is choosing which pony to sponsor... enjoy!

Its all done securely through PayPal, however you don't have to have a PayPal account, just a credit or debit card is fine. Thank you, from all the team at Pukka Ponies xxx

BIG CHARLIE

Big Charlie arrived at the rescue August 2017, he came as his former owner could not give him the care he needs, and therefore trusted Charlie to us in the hope we can fix him up and find him the perfect home one day!

Charlie is needing a huge amount of feed to help him build his weight, he is around 150kg undweight presently, and will take months of rehabilition to restore his former glory as big chunky shire! He also suffers from sweet itch, and has brought with him a little infestation of feather mites which need to be treated too.

Please sponsor Charlie if you can, every little helps!

Snowy is a sweet little mare, she came to Pukka Ponies back in January 2014. Snowy had a troubled past and trust is a huge issue for this elderly lady. She is thought to be in her late 20’s and lived 7 of those years wild and alone – regularly targeted by youths using her as target practice for sick shooting games and chasing her with dogs or bikes. Snowy has been granted sanctuary for life with Pukka Ponies.

Joe is one of the newest guys on the block. He is due to join the team in February 2017 and will be cared for by our friends at Little Fant Farm. Joe isn’t keen on other donkeys as companions, so instead has some little pony friends. He will be featuring at future events to help raise money and awareness for Pukka Ponies as part of the working team.

Winnie has been with us since February 2014, she was severely abused prior to coming to Pukka Ponies. She finds trusting humans immensely difficult and for this reason we feel she needs to stay a resident until she is ready to trust of her own accord. She is a curious girl but lacks the confidence to see her curiosity through.

Charlie joined the herd in 2016, he has been a “domestic wild pony” for the past 8 years having been a failed project! Charlie is very cautious and flighty making his management difficult at best. We hope one day in the future Charlie could be adopted as a companion as he’s a handsome chap who needs a family of his own.
